In his youth he was a point to point rider and briefly held, with his father a National Hunt training licence in the 1950's. He spent a lifetime following horse racing, it was his joy and pleasure, while persuing a career as a dairy farmer near Nantwich, in Cheshire. . The money is from the collection we held at his funeral at St Marys Church in Acton.
